Arles Struvie
- As Thurston's co-host, Arles finds himself away from the station for much of this show having been bitten by the love bug. Bertha Bumiller is the object of his affection, however, wedding plans turn sour when he and Bertha argue over honeymoon destinations. She is determined to go to the Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas while Arles is bent on the Rattlesnake Roundup in Sweetwater. Will love prevail?
Didi Snavely
- Didi is still smoking and providing quality used weapons to Tuna residents in pursuit of becoming Tuna's Homecoming Reunion Queen. (She is sponsored by Didi's Used Weapons, naturally.) Her raging hormones have prompted her to enroll in a single-adults-only Sunday school class, now that she has only one more day before R.R. is pronounced legally dead and the divorce is final. You may recall R.R. mysteriously left on board a UFO in A Tuna Christmas.
Petey Fisk
- Tuna's champion of the animal kingdom has found a new cause celebre in protesting the upcoming Varmint, Critter and Pest Fest. Petey's stand against this event is given spotlight coverage at the Reunion when he spends five hours in a Plexiglas hut with fifty live scorpions.
Stanley Bumiller
- Stanley has become the object of everyone's admiration having left Tuna to become a successful spray-paint taxidermy artist in Albuquerque. His prosperity does not divert attention from the long arm of the law as Sheriff Givens continues to try to catch Stanley in the act of something illegal.
Charlene Bumiller
- Now that she has gotten over her crush on Joe Bob Lipsey, Charlene has even bigger worries on the horizon. In her present state, she continues to have scathing remarks for her mother - especially on an empty stomach!
Vera Carp - Tuna's
richest citizen has devoted much of her time to the newly-formed
Prayer Posse which has rewritten the lyrics to some popular church
hymns. Vera is sponsored by First Farmers United Fidelity Equity
Bank in her bid for Tuna's Reunion Queen Contest and is still unwavering
in her devotion to the Baptist faith, despite constant aggravations
by her domestic help named Lupe.
Helen Bedd
- The hormonally-charged Tastee Kreme waitress is dressed to thrill
and serving up plenty of attitude along with Aunt Pearl's prize-winning
potato salad at the reunion.
Zerk Zerk
- R.R. Snaveley's extraterrestrial, extramarital,
intergalactical love interest.

Thurston Wheelis
- Still at the helm of radio station OKKK, Thurston continues as one of Tuna's finest broadcasters. His ability to "tune out" non Tuna-related items especially in the midst of a militia holdout in Tuna, can only be attributed to his many years of professionalism behind the microphone.
Bertha Bumiller
- Her less than perfect children and her pending marriage to Arles Struvie continue to have Bertha's bouffant in a tease. She has managed to capture the spirit ofthe season this time in her red, white and blue polyester pantsuit with matching flag earrings.
Aunt Pearl Burras - Tuna's matriarch of mischief is still up to her usual high jinks when she tosses a string of lit firecrackers into her husband Henry's room as punishment for forgetting their anniversary -- again. Pearl is one of three candidates running for Tuna's Homecoming Reunion and her sponsor is Cumbie's Feed and Seed. She has graciously contributed her prize-winning potato salad recipie to Helen and Inita for their food booth at the reunion.
The Reverend Spikes
- Out of prison again. Rev. Sturgis Spikes is scheduled to preach a special Independence Day sermon during a meeting of the Smut Snatchers of the New Order.
Joe Bob Lipsey - Tuna's
resident Little Theatre Director returns to town to direct a patriotic
performance-art extravanganza entitled "Red, White and Fabulous,"
He finds himself embroiled in a battle with Vera Carp over mention
of the word champagne in a dry county, and the elbow-length satin
gloves come off.
Inita Goodwin - The
hormonally-charged Tastee Kreme waitress is dressed to thrill and
serving up plenty of attitude along with Aunt Pearl's prize-winning
potato salad at the reunion.
